REGULATIONS

In this section of the website you can consult and download the EPDItaly Program Regulations and Annexes

The Regulations contain the procedures for managing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) within the EPDItaly Program and may change over time: it is therefore essential to check periodically for updates. In this section, the updated Regulations, in their latest version, are available for consultation and download. Previous versions are also available.
The EPDItaly Regulations and Program are developed in accordance with ISO 14025, EN ISO/IEC 17029 and ISO 14065. The EPDItaly Regulations are developed in accordance with the ECO Platform Guidelines for Construction Products.
Part of the document are the Annexes, which gather information on content, requirements and key activities for the Verification/Validation Bodies recognized by EPDItaly.

Transitional Period

Until 01/10/2026, it will be possible to develop and publish EPDs in accordance with both Regulations 6.0 and 7.1.
For greater clarity, the following specifies the details related to each relevant document, also available in the description of the individual files on the website:

EPDItaly Regulation Rev. 7.1

Starting from 01/10/2026, it will be possible to develop and publish EPDs only in accordance with Regulation Rev. 7.1 and the Annex for Energy and Biogas.

For verification and validation (V/V) activities, in compliance with Regulation Rev. 7.1, it will be mandatory to use the EPD CHECK LIST / LCA TOOL CHECK LIST [Reg. EPDItaly Rev. 7.1] for construction products.

EPDItaly Regulation Rev. 6.0

Until 30/09/2026, it will be possible to develop and publish EPDs in accordance with Regulation Rev. 6.0, and to use either the Annex for Energy and Biogas or the Informative Annex, with the following limitations:

31/12/2025: deadline for publishing EPDs using the Informative Annex for construction products. After this date, the use of the Annex for Energy and Biogas will be mandatory.

30/09/2026: deadline for publishing EPDs using the Informative Annex for non-construction products. After this date, the use of the Annex for Energy and Biogas will be mandatory.

Additional Requirements

31/12/2025: deadline for using the EPD CHECK LIST / LCA TOOL CHECK LIST [Reg. EPDItaly Rev. 6.0] for construction products. After this date, it will be mandatory to use the EPD CHECK LIST / LCA TOOL CHECK LIST [Reg. EPDItaly Rev. 6.0 + Additional Requirements] for construction products.

01/10/2026: from this date, it will be mandatory to use the EPD CHECK LIST / LCA TOOL CHECK LIST [Reg. EPDItaly Rev. 7.1] for construction products.

OPERATIONAL FORMS

In this section of the website, some operational documents can be accessed and downloaded.

Check List: the check list to be used for the verification of EPDs that includes construction products and Electrical and Electronic products considered as construction products. The scope of the Check List covers all EPDs that comply with EN 15804 standards. The list may change over time; therefore, it is essential to check periodically for updates.

Conditions of use of the ECO Platform LOGO: All EPDs published in the construction sector must mandatorily carry the ECO EPD logo, which highlights the EPD document's compliance with the requirements of the EN 15804 standard "Sustainability of Construction - Environmental Product Declarations - Key Development Rules by Product Category," promoting its recognition within the Eco Platform and more generally in Europe. All EPDs with the logo will then be digitized and visible, not only on the EPDItaly website, but also on Eco Platform's Eco Portal.

The goal of ECO Platform is the development of verified environmental information on construction products.
