The decision to adopt the TOOL-based EPD verification approach stems from the need to effectively and efficiently manage a broad and highly diversified product portfolio, while simultaneously guaranteeing methodological consistency and high-quality results.
Compared to verifying individual standard EPDs, once the model has been verified and qualified, new EPDs can be generated while significantly reducing repetitive modeling and verification tasks. Furthermore, this method facilitates the integration of LCA into internal processes, turning it into an operational tool rather than just a one-off exercise linked to a single EPD.
