1000 EPDs published

With the excellent result of 1000 environmental declarations registered, EPDItaly confirms its steady growth and central role in the national landscape of Environmental Product Declarations.
Over the last five years, the number of EPDs published has more than doubled, with a gradual expansion of the sectors represented, from construction and building materials, the original focus of the programme, to the energy, electrical, food and manufacturing sectors.
Just three years ago, there were around 500 declarations: this growth testifies to the concrete spread of a culture of environmental transparency among Italian companies.
The milestone of 1000 publications also reflects the international recognition achieved by the programme, which is now chosen by over 270 companies in 25 countries and has more than 40 active PCRs for products and services.
Collaboration with accredited bodies, openness to new sectors and the digitisation of EPDs, which now exceed 1,700 interoperable files, reinforce the solidity and reliability of the system.
This result confirms the value of the shared work between companies, verifiers and the technical community, and marks an important milestone in EPDItaly’s journey towards ever greater international dissemination.
