New EPDItaly Regulation has come into effect: webinar and presentation slides available
The new EPDItaly Revision 7.0 Regulation officially came into effect on 27 Marzo 2025. This regulation is the essential tool for the development, verification, validation and publication of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and has been updated to meet changing market needs.
Revision 7.0 introduces changes, additions and clarifications from the previous revision.
Key changes, outlined by Riccardo Colombo and Carmela Mansi in our recent webinar, include updates on definitions, requirements, management of PCRs, new types of EPDs, requirements for construction products, and significant changes to several Annexes, covering aspects such as data quality, tool-based EPDs, those with limited data, products in the design phase, and declaration of recycled/recovered content, as well as the framework for EPDs with reseller/distributor owners.
It is important to note that as of 28 Giugno 2026, it will no longer be possible to publish EPDs in accordance with Regulation Revision 6. Verification and validation bodies will operate under the new regulation subject to verification by Accredia.
